Rohm and Haas Company Partners with The Natural Step International to Implement Strategic Sustainable Development Practices Across the Company.
Shanghai, China—February 2, 2008—Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE:ROH) announced today that it has embarked on a comprehensive journey to develop and implement strategic, sustainable development practices across all areas of its businesses and operations. In launching this initiative, the company has formed a partnership with The Natural Step International, a leading global, environmental non-government organization that specializes in developing systematic, science-based approaches for organizations to become more sustainable. Through participation in its Core Funding Partner Program, The Natural Step will assist Rohm and Haas Company in incorporating sustainable objectives in all of its business, research and development, and operating practices.
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 29, 2008 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) and Sinoma Jinjing Fiber Glass Co. Ltd. announced their respective boards of directors have approved the addition of a third furnace at the PPG Sinoma Jinjing Fiber Glass Co. Ltd. joint-venture manufacturing site in Zibo, China. The joint venture is a 50-50 arrangement for manufacturing glass-fiber reinforcement.
Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will increase the price of its Weston® and Mark® Liquid Phosphite Esters by 10%, effective on all deliveries on or after February 1, 2008, or as contracts allow.
