Borealis together with Borouge, its joint venture in the Middle East and Asia with the Abu Dhabi national Oil Company (ADNOC), will present its steel pipe protective coating solutions and thermal insulation systems at the International Pipeline Transport 2006 Exhibition April 25-27 in Moscow. Demonstrating its commitment to the Russian oil & gas market, the complete spectrum of its coating products and solutions will be featured in Pavilion 7, Hall 6, Block J2 in the Krasnaya Presnya Exhibition Centre.

During 2005, the plastics industry was impacted by high oil and feedstock prices, volatile industry margins, reduced European demand and a severe hurricane season in the Gulf of Mexico. In this environment, net profit improved from EUR 203 million in 2004 to EUR 226 million in 2005, an increase of 11%. The net result corresponds to a return on capital employed (ROCE) after tax of 12% compared with 11% in 2004.

MIDDLEBURY, CT— Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) today announced price increases of up to 10% on a wide range of brominated flame retardants, effective April 1st, 2006 or as contracts allow. These increases help to restore Chemtura’s Flame Retardants business to reinvestment economics and to capture the full value of elemental bromine. This reinvestment is essential to ensure a reliable supply chain; to fund research into future technology; and to support on-going product advocacy programs.

In a meeting today, the Board of Borealis AS agreed to close the Borealis high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant in Bamble, Norway. The Board recommends that the Supervisory Board of Borealis AS concludes to close the 110,000 tonnes per year plant in 2006.

Borealis announced today that it will increase the price of its polypropylene (PP) used in automotive and appliances applications in Europe by EUR 150 per tonne as of April 1, 2006.
