This innovative approach combines expertise from four leading companies, Eastman Chemical Company (Europe/USA), Rotuba (USA), Eurofragance (Spain) and EJ Pack (South Korea).

A New Grade of Eastar® From Eastman Chemicals Supports a Technological Breakthrough In the Drug Delivery Device Sector
CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, THE NETHERLANDS - SEDAT, design and manufacture company of plastic injection-moulded drug delivery devices, has selected Eastman Chemical’s new grade MN058 of Eastar® for an innovative angiographic syringe that has achieved a technological breakthrough in the medical sector.
Bekaert has acquired Southwest Screens & Filters SA for an enterprise value of € 6 million. With production facilities in Sprimont (Belgium) and just outside Jakarta (Indonesia), Southwest realises annual sales of € 10 million. The company employs 125 people and is one of the world players in metal fibre based industrial process filters. These filters are used mainly in the polymer industry for filtering possible impurities out of the molten raw material during the production process, to ensure the good quality of the synthetic fibre or film. 
Building on the established advantages of its Borstar® bimodal process technology, Borealis has introduced a new generation of proprietary technology - Borstar PE 2G, a multi-modal process that enables the molecular tailoring of polyethylene (PE) to provide solutions that meet the exact needs of the customer.
Borealis and Novolen announced today that they have entered into a license agreement allowing Novolen’s metallocene single-site polypropylene (PP) technology rights to be available to Borealis. This agreement grants Borealis access to Novolen’s metallocene PP patent rights to manufacture single-site polymerisation catalysts to produce Borealis metallocene PP solutions. In addition, both parties have entered into joint development agreement to further develop metallocene single-site polymerisation catalysts for use in bulk PP polymerisation processes. Both companies are strongly committed to innovation and play a leading role in the plastics industry.
