Clariant offers better product access for oil production customers through new supply base in Indonesia
Clariant, a focused and innovative specialty chemical company, today announced the opening of a new supply base at Bojonegoro in East Java. This new storage facility in Indonesia provides Clariant’s Oil Services customers in the region with an improved, more sustainable supply chain for its Pour Point Depressants (PPD) and Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) products, in line with the specific requirements of the oil industry. The opening ceremony, held at the new base, was attended by government officials and Clariant customers in the region.

SABIC launches advanced breakaway support filament aimed to improve productivity for part manufacturers
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, today announced the launch of AMS31F filament, the company’s breakaway support material for fused deposition modeling. The new filament maintains rigidity during printing and provides exceptional pliability during post processing to enable easier removal of scaffolding at room temperature, which can help reduce the time required to produce finished parts. The new AMS31F filament is for use with SABIC’s ULTEM™ AM9085F filament, a high-performance polyetherimide (PEI) material that provides high heat resistance and mechanical strength which are optimal properties for potential aerospace applications, as well as for automotive, oil and gas and tooling applications.
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced the successful performance of its StyroMax UL3 ethylbenzene dehydrogenation catalyst at the styrene monomer production facility of Shandong Yuhuang Chemical (Group) Company. Located in Heze City, Shandong Province, China, the facility began start-up of the catalyst in March 2018, and already reports highly satisfactory results, with increased yields and greater production efficiency.
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced today that it was awarded a long-term supply contract by INEOS to supply CATOFIN catalysts and Heat Generating Material (HGM) for a major propane dehydrogenation plant to be constructed in Europe. Scheduled for completion in 2023, the facility is designed to produce 750,000 metric tons of propylene annually, which will make it the largest propane dehydrogenation plant in Europe.
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art laboratory at its facility in Midland, Texas. This capital investment upgraded several key infrastructure elements of the operations center. Most prominent is the state-of-the-art laboratory, which is Clariant Oil Services fourth Regional Technical Laboratory in North America. The laboratory has almost doubled in size and is now equipped with industry-leading research and automation equipment. As such, it will increase sample activity undertaken for regional Permian Basin oil and gas producers by up to 45 percent over the pre-existing test center.
