Clariant brings new Houdry® dehydrogenation catalyst capacity on-stream
Muttenz, October 9, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has successfully expanded production capacity for Houdry® dehydrogenation catalysts at its Louisville/Kentucky, USA plant. The double-digit million Swiss francs debottlenecking investment will support increasing demand for Houdry catalysts driven mainly by shale gas development. The facility will come on-stream in mid-October 2013 as planned.

Houston, Texas (USA), September 26, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, today announced the opening of the new global headquarters for its Oil and Mining Services business unit in The Woodlands, Texas. A center of technology innovation just north of Houston, it expands on the company's investment strategy in North America.
Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products, the global leader of machinable plastics, has achieved NORSOK M-710 compliance for its Ketron® 1000 PEEK (natural) injection molded and extruded stock shapes. The engineering plastics manufacturer is the first in its industry to receive the certification under the most severe sour multiphase fluid ageing test environment with the highest H₂S levels. 
Muttenz, June 25, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, opened a new R&D Laboratory for Catalysts for Chemicals and Oil & Gas industries. Located in the company's largest manufacturing plant of Latin America, in Suzano (Brazil), the laboratory begins operations with a complete infrastructure, state of the art equipment and well qualified team of researchers dedicated to develop new generations of catalysts as well as providing technical support to customers in the region.
