Mondi, Werner & Mertz partner on fully recyclable, award-winning StripPouch that supports a circular economy
Leading global packaging and paper group Mondi’s four-year effort with a customer –– German cleaning products maker Werner & Mertz GmbH –– to develop a fully recyclable, flexible, stand-up pouch for W&M’s Frosch-brand laundry detergent is paying dividends. The project applied Cradle to Cradle® (or C2C) principles to assess every aspect of the product, from design to optimal end-of-life options, to close the packaging loop.

Milliken increases investment in Asia with new Singapore manufacturing facility
Milliken & Company, recognized as a worldwide leader of plastic additives and colorants, announced today plans to construct a new, state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing plant and knowledge center in Asia.
Milliken Chemical, a leading global supplier of additives and colorants for plastics and division of global manufacturer Milliken & Company, will use its presence at the K 2019 trade fair on Oct. 16-23 to demonstrate the many ways in which it is “Enhancing plastics with Color, Care, Clarity and Performance. Together.”
The theme of Connected Comfort serves as a foundation for the six color tones selected for ColorDirection 2020 — reflecting the convenience, flexibility and personal experiences capturing the connection color creates between products from various markets and the consumers they serve.
