Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences Company, today inaugurated its Solar Technologies Demonstration Center at its DSM Engineering Plastics facility in Pune, India. This state-of-the-art solar technology center has been built to demonstrate and showcase the performance of DSM's innovations in solar technology and will also reduce the plant's CO2 footprint by using the renewable energy generated by the solar plant to meet 25% of the site's electricity needs.

Muttenz, September 23, 2014 – Clariant, Haltermann and Mercedes-Benz have tested a fuel of the future in a fleet test since January: Initial results prove the high quality and excellent properties of sunliquid® 20 fuel (contains 20% ethanol coming from straw). With its first-class combustion properties, sunliquid® 20 improves engine efficiency so that its 4% lesser energy content, as compared to E10, is more than compensated. For drivers, this means: with sunliquid® 20, the sustainability of the fuel (reduced CO2 emissions) is increased significantly whilst consumption remains the same.

The Netherlands, 11 September 2014 - DSM Dyneema, owner of the Dyneema® brand, succeeded in its action against a third party application for a Chyneema trademark. Following two years of procedures, the official trademark authorities in South Korea, Canada, EU and the USA have all accepted DSM Dyneema's opposition and rejected the application.
