SABIC Innovative Plastics Wires in Nissei Eco with Non-Halogenated Flexible Noryl* Resin for Sustainable, High-End, FR Insulation Tubing

That solution is ECO-01 tubing, a wire insulation product made from SABIC Innovative Plastics’ Flexible Noryl* resin. This high-tech resin is inherently flame retardant (FR) and free of environmentally harmful heavy metals. It also provides OEMs of home appliances and other products with high heat performance without expensive secondary operations. SABIC Innovative Plastics’ continued investment in high-performance, green technologies is helping customers like Nissei Eco accelerate the creation of differentiated, environmentally progressive end products in an array of markets worldwide.

Belden has extended its range of Hirschmann™ products to include the new BAT300 FX2: the world’s first 300MBit/s WLAN Access Point for Ex-Zone 2
With the new Hirschmann™ BAT300 FX2, Belden is marketing the world’s first ATEX-certificated WLAN Access Point with support for the new IEEE 802.11n transmission standard. This enables WLAN networks with data rates up to 300 Mbit/s to be installed even in hazardous areas rated Ex zone 2. The integrated MIMO antenna technology (multiple input multiple output) ensures a stable wireless connection. Other features of these Access Points include extensive management, security and quality of service functions plus layer 3 IP routing.

This new industry-leading material, announced here today at the Highly-functional Film Technology Expo in booth F10-43, enables electrical/electronics (E/E) OEMs to create flatter, lighter-weight notebook computers and other electronic devices while significantly reducing material costs, giving them a competitive advantage. The new Lexan EFR film is a top-choice environmental solution that increases the ability of global E/E manufacturers to go beyond current environmental directives by voluntarily eliminating halogenated additives in their products.
