Songwon Additive Technologies Americas to start up OPS plant in Houston, USA in April 2013
Houston, Texas USA – March 25, 2013 – Songwon Additive Technologies Americas has announced that production of OPS products (One Pack Systems) is to start at a new facility in Houston, USA in April this year. The Houston facility will have an initial capacity of 7.000 metric tons per year and follows Songwon’s investment in Additives Technology Greiz (ATG) in 2011 which was doubled in capacity in 2012 to 14.000 metric tons per year.

Clariant supports water saving efforts in textile manufacturing
Singapore, March 22, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, supports the textile industry's efforts toward sustainable freshwater management with the publishing of water-saving tips and technologies in a special edition of its "News Chat" newsletter.
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, today announces that it has acquired the SolarExcel company. Based in Venray (Netherlands) SolarExcel has developed a proprietary light trapping technology that can significantly increase the efficiency of solar panels. With the acquisition DSM expands its growing portfolio of solar energy enabling technologies. Financial details of the acquisition are not disclosed.
Konstantynów Łódzki, March 15, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, was joined by distinguished guests for the groundbreaking of its new plant in Konstantynów Łódzki, Poland. The ceremony held on site was attended by the Swiss ambassador, and representatives of local authorities and the Łódź Special Economic Zone as honorary guests. The new, modern plant will commence production of color concentrates for producers of plastic materials one year from now. The investment, worth CHF 11.3 million, will allow Clariant to increase production capacity and strengthen its position on Polish and European markets. 
Muttenz, March 15, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, has broken the ground for its new investment in Konstantynów Łódźki, Poland. The new building covers an area about 6'800 square meters and will include new production site, laboratory and warehouse as well as Clariant offices. The investment, worth CHF 11.3 million, will enable Clariant to double the production capacity of color concentrates for its Business Unit Masterbatches and also to create new job opportunities.
