EMG expands in China with opening of Beijing Office
Bergen op Zoom, October 2, 2007 – EMG has announced the opening of its second office in mainland China in Beijing, continuing its expansion across Asia-Pacific and further strengthening its international operations. The new office was officially inaugurated on September 19th in Beijing at a special ceremony attended by around 40 invited guests, including prospective clients, representatives from CIPRA (China International Public relations Association) as well as of key media in China.

The plant is a manufacturing site for the company’s Saflex® business. Saflex is the world’s leading producer and seller of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers. The Suzhou plant site is ideally suited for future expansion of Saflex and for other Solutia businesses.

The expansion complements various developments already underway at the company’s network of ion exchange resin sites in the USA, Europe and Asia. 
At K 2007, DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE) will announce the launch of Viton® FreeFlow™ Z110 and Z210 process aids for polyolefins — two important additions to the company’s proprietary Z Technology™ products for plastics masterbatchers and producers of extruded sheet, films and other thin-walled structures — and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the commercialization of Viton®, which led to the creation of the fluoroelastomers industry. In addition, DPE will showcase Hypalon® chlorosulfonated polyethylene, Neoprene polychloroprene, and Vertex™ seal technology.
