The conTeyor Roller Curtain, selected by Jaguar Cars as the closure system for sequencing racks used to transport and store interior and exterior components for the production of its new XJ series and XK8 sports car, has now been specified for use throughout the company’s UK manufacturing plants. These include Castle Bromwich and Halewood, which respectively make the Jaguar S-type and X-type models. The conTeyor Roller Curtain is now even included in the official Packaging Standards Document issued by Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin Lagonda.

Freiburg, Germany, June 25, 2003 – System supplier Bosch Waiblingen Kunststofftechnik, in collaboration with Rhodia Engineering Plastics’ Application Development Centre Automotive in Freiburg, has developed housings and other elements manufactured using Technyl® reinforced polyamide for two new oil separator concepts for diesel engines. DaimlerChrysler is currently considering using the stand-alone solution of this oil separator with three hose connections for its A-Class diesel models.

Lyon, France, May 19, 2003 – Rhodia Engineering Plastics today announced the introduction of TECHNYL® ALLOY brand, a synergistic alloy of polyamide and ABS compounded with a new high-performance compatibilizing technology which offers key benefits and advantages for molded plastic parts above those offered by traditional polycarbonate (PC), PC/ABS, and PC/PBT materials in terms of properties and processing benefits. This material has already been chosen by GM/DAEWOO, to equip its brand new Kalos SUV with a high performance center fascia.

In addition to its proven chemical resistance to virtually all organic and inorganic solvents, this high performance polyetheretherketone delivers the necessary high mechanical fatigue strength over wide ranges of temperature and pressure.
