DOMO to stop and close BOPA production at Leuna plant
DOMO Chemicals, a leading producer of high-quality engineering materials for a diverse range of markets, has announced plans to stop and close its third line of Biaxally Oriented PA films (BOPA) from DOMO in Leuna (Germany), effective from August 2020. Affected employees have been informed and other operations at the Leuna plant will not be impacted by the move. The difficult decision was reached as a result of global overcapacity for nylon films.

Le premier matériau d’interface thermique liquide à haute conductivité thermique et à application rapide à l’échelle industrielle arrive sur le marché
Düsseldorf, Allemagne – Henkel a annoncé ce jour le lancement de sa dernière innovation en date dans le domaine des matériaux d’interface thermique (ou « TIM » pour Thermal Interface Material) : le produit de comblement des interstices (ou «Gap-filler» thermique) Bergquist TGF 7000 (image). La formulation de ce TIM liquide représente une importante percée technologique, en ce sens qu’elle allie efficacement une conductivité thermique élevée de 7,0 W/mK à un débit maximal possible testé à 18 grammes par seconde, soit une combinaison actuellement unique en son genre. Avec une telle possibilité de débit, le nouveau matériau s’adresse en particulier à des applications comme les systèmes d’aide à la conduite automobile (ADAS), les systèmes de transformation de puissance, les pompes électriques ou les contrôleurs électroniques, dont les puissances accrues sur des surfaces réduites des modèles actuels imposent des exigences élevées en matière de fiabilité, de conductivité thermique et de fabrication en grandes séries.
