Clariant to open new production facility in Dayabay, China
Hong Kong, September 15, 2009 - Leading specialty chemical company Clariant today announced it will build an ethoxylation plant in Dayabay, situated south of Guangzhou. The plant will be operational in early 2011 and will enable Clariant to meet increasing demand from the Chinese and wider Asian markets.

HIGH PERFORMANCE OFFSHORE APPLICATIONS BASED ON NEW FLUOROSINT® ENHANCED PTFE GRADES FROM QUADRANT DEMONSTRATED AT OFFSHORE EUROPE 2009
Quadrant’s range of enhanced PTFE materials available in full production sizes has been broadened with the addition of two new grades: Fluorosint HPV and Fluorosint MT-01. Fluorosint HPV, especially developed for highly demanding oil & gas applications, is a mica-filled high performance bearing grade that can deliver a pressure velocity (PV) performance improvement of more than 40 % over other PTFE materials according to in-house tests conducted by Quadrant. Parts made of Fluorosint HPV can withstand higher load and velocity while delivering better wear resistance, enabling longer part life compared to existing PTFE-based materials. The product was especially developed to meet the demands of high performance bearing applications where other, low-tech PTFE formulations would exhibit premature wear or can not perform. These characteristics open up interesting new options for engineers and manufacturers.

QUADRANT ANNONCE UNE NOUVELLE EXTENSION DE LA GAMME FLUOROSINT® PTFE RENFORCE AVEC DE NOUVEAUX GRADES FDA ET HAUTE TEMPERATURE
La gamme Quadrant en PTFE renforcé Fluorosint® disponible dans tous les formats a été élargie avec la création de deux nouveaux grades : le Fluorosint HPV et le Fluorosint MT-01. Compatible à la norme FDA, le Fluorosint HPV renforcé en mica améliore de 40 % le rapport pression-vitesse sur des applications de bagues de frottement en comparaison aux PTFE classiques, selon les tests effectués par Quadrant. Les pièces fabriquées en Fluorosint HPV peuvent résister à une charge et une vitesse plus élevées tout en garantissant une meilleure résistance à l’usure ; le tout permet une plus grande durée de vie des pièces comparée à celles issues de PTFE existants agréés FDA.
