BASF, SABIC, and Linde celebrate the start-up of the world's first large-scale electrically heated steam cracking furnace
Today, BASF, SABIC, and Linde have inaugurated the world’s first demonstration plant for large-scale electrically heated steam cracking furnaces. Following three years of development, engineering, and construction work, the regular operation of the demonstration plant is now ready to start at BASF’s Verbund site in Ludwigshafen, Germany. In March 2021 the three companies signed a joint agreement to develop and demonstrate solutions for electrically heated steam cracking furnaces.

SABIC to present on chemically resistant LNP™ ELCRES™ copolymers at NPE2024
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, will give a presentation at NPE2024 about its growing portfolio of chemically resistant, specialty LNP™ ELCRES™ copolymers well suited for a range of demanding applications. Yuanqing (Emily) He, Ph.D., senior business manager for LNP copolymers at SABIC Specialties, will speak on May 6 at 3:00 p.m. on the Innovation Stage in the West Hall (Booth #W2380).
