DSM Engineering Materials strengthens market-leading position in EV and E&E high-growth industries with production expansion in China
DSM Engineering Materials today announces the expansion of its high-performance materials production capacity at its Jiangyin plant in Jiangsu Province, China. Work on an additional compounding line began in February 2022, with completion expected in 2023. The new line will help DSM to meet growing demand for high-performance polymers used in a wide range of end-applications – particularly for electric vehicles and in electrics, and electronics – and will help drive the shift to a low-carbon, circular economy.

In the global efforts to combat insect borne diseases, non-profit organizations and governments have looked towards residual indoor spraying as one of the tools to fight mosquito carried diseases like Malaria, Dengue, and Chikungunya. The approach leaves a thin layer of pesticides on walls inside residential spaces. The big downside to traditional residual indoor sprays is that they are classified as hazardous. Repeltec, a new coating developed by AFFIX Labs, a Finnish technology start-up, aims to be the safest indoor residual spray on the market to repel insects.
