SABIC introduces new caps & closure material, outlines strategies for growth and the circular economy at the Berlin Plastic Closures Innovation 2018
SABIC is reinforcing its activities in the plastics caps and closures (C&C) market. At the Plastic Closures Innovations Conference in Berlin on May 22-24, where SABIC is the headline sponsor, the company will discuss its new Caps & Closures Industry segment, launched at the beginning of the year. It will also introduce its latest materials and solutions for drink, food and non-food packaging caps and closures, and outline its latest measures for addressing issues in the circular economy.

Clariant introduces Humitector™ Type 2 Non-Reversible Humidity Indicator Cards for SMD Dry Packing
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, and its Cargo & Device Protection unit, the originator of the color change humidity indicator card, introduce an industry-first innovation to better ensure that the integrity of dry packing that protects moisture-sensitive devices has not been compromised by high humidity at any time during shipment or storage. The new Humitector Type 2 Non-Reversible Humidity Indicator Cards are low-halogen and free of cobalt dichloride, a substance of concern to the European Chemical Bureau.

Clariant showcases innovative and safe low-foaming emulsifiers for metal working fluids at STLE, Minneapolis
Clariant, a world-leader in specialty chemicals, will be showcasing a number of recently launched emulsifiers to replace traditional alcohol ethoxylate-based products for metal working fluid formulations at the STLE Annual Meeting and Exposition in Minneapolis. The new products - Emulsogen® MTP 020, Emulsogen MTP 030 and Emulsogen MTP 090 - join Clariant’s well-known Emulsogen MTP 070 to further contribute to the company’s innovative new range of hazard label-free, low foaming emulsifiers for the chemicals industry. Archroma announces progress on integration of M. Dohmen
Archroma, a global leader in color and specialty chemicals, announced the further integration of M. Dohmen, an international group specializing in the production of textile dyes and chemicals for the automotive, carpet and apparel sectors. This went into effect on May 1, 2018 and follows Archroma expanding its stake in M. Dohmen from 49% to 75% in September 2017.
