The M12 X-Code Series connectors enable data transmission rates of up to 10 Gb per second (according to IEC 802.3an Cat 6a), their full-metal shells provide all-round shielding against EMI/RFI interference, and they are sealed against dust and water to IP67 level. Intended applications include data and sensor networks, train door control assemblies and rail vehicle HVAC systems.

EconCore to present innovations in continuous honeycomb sandwich technology at JEC World 2018 

A lightweight composite aircraft interior module, co-developed by Diehl Aircabin and EconCore, which uses thermoplastic honeycomb cores for strength, low weight, and high fire resistance, will be on display in the Innovation Planets area at JEC World.

Its ThermHex process meets the growing need for replacing complex, heavy and expensive parts in highly demanding applications across industries. On Stand R73 in Hall 6, EconCore will present results of new development and tests on honeycombs made in modified polycarbonates, polyamide 66 and polyphenylene sulfide. The work is being carried out in its newly refurbished R&D facilities in Leuven, Belgium.

SABIC announces plans to expand capacity for ULTEM™ and NORYL™ resin production.In response to customer needs, SABIC has announced projects in Asia and the Netherlands designed to increase global capacity for two of its high-performance engineering thermoplastic materials, ULTEM™ and NORYL™ resins. To increase capacity for ULTEM™ resins, a polyetherimide material, SABIC plans to expand its existing footprint in Singapore where it currently has compounding operations, pending final government clearance. The planned new production facility in Singapore is expected to go online in the first half of 2021. The company also plans to recommission operations at its Bergen op Zoom PPE resin plant in the Netherlands by the end of 2019 to produce polyphenylene ether (PPE), the base resin for its line of NORYL™ resins and oligomers.
