(Photo: ELIX Polymers, PR025)Tarragona, June 21, 2017 – A leading supplier of interior and exterior automotive parts has selected a new ABS/polycarbonate blend from ELIX Polymers for the production of exterior pillar covers to be used in an upcoming premium class car from a well-known German manufacturer. Maier S. Coop., in Vizcaya, Spain, is using ELIX Ultra HH4115HI in a two-component part that combines the ABS/PC with a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA).

Henkel and PSA tackle production issues with internet-connected ‘smart’ glasses

For the first time Henkel experts are enabled to quickly and accurately diagnose problems anywhere in any PSA production operation, without having to step outside their own office. The implementation of the new remote service system will enable PSA & Henkel to increase efficiency and react much more quickly to production glitches. Both companies will share the podium at Surcar 2017, the international meeting on automotive body finishing taking place in Cannes, France, on June 29-30.

The price increase is due to rising costs of certain raw materials and manufacturing.
