Clariant to Increase Prices for Geko® and Ecosil® in Europe
Munich, June 16, 2017 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals has announced today a price increase in Europe for its Geko foundry green sand binders by 3% and for its Ecosil foundry lustrous carbon formers by 5 %, effective July 1st 2017 or as soon as contracts allow. The price increase is due to rising costs of certain raw materials and manufacturing.

TE Connectivity Unveils Reflow Capable Connectors for HVAC Equipment and Appliances
HARRISBURG, PA., USA – June 15, 2017 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, introduces two new reflow capable connectors for customers who are changing their manufacturing processes to high performance reflow soldering of PCB assemblies. The reflow capable universal MATE-N-LOK connectors and Economy Power headers are both rectangular wire-to-board power connectors built on a tested solution where the thermoplastic housings are designed to withstand high temperatures associated with reflow soldering. Total explores new routes for post-consumer recycled polystyrene in the circular economy world
Brussels, June 14, 2017 - Total has just completed an industrial scale test run, following a series of pilot plant trials, demonstrating the feasibility of sustainable incorporation of about 20% of post-consumer recycled polystyrene within virgin polystyrene. The trial, which was carried out on an existing production asset, successfully led to product with properties equivalent to virgin polymer.
