Clariant successfully places EUR 300 million of certificates of indebtedness
Muttenz, April 7, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced today the issuance of totally EUR 300 million in the German market for certificates of indebtedness (“Schuldschein”). The four certificates have a term of 5 years (EUR 150 million) respectively 8 years (EUR 150 million) each with fix or float coupons.

Clariant concludes divestment of its Water Treatment Business in Latin America to Ecolab
São Paulo, April 1, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has concluded the divestment of its Water Treatment Business located in Brazil, Argentina and Colombia to Ecolab Inc. In Colombia, the transaction will be in effect as soon as it is approved by local regulatory authorities. The negotiation does not include the Oil & Gas / Refinery industry, which continues to be served by Clariant Business Unit Oil and Mining Services, which supplies treatment packages through its Refinery Services business line. This transaction, which began in late 2014, is a result of Cariant portfolio management process, based on its profitable growth strategy. For Ecolab’s Water & Process Services (WPS) division, the acquision expands and strengthens its presence in industrial water treatment market in Latin America.

Clariant’s Shareholders Approve All Agenda Items
Muttenz, March 31, 2015 – At today’s Annual General Meeting in Basel, the shareholders of Clariant AG, a world leader in specialty chemicals, approved all agenda items and proposals put forward by the Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by 459 shareholders and shareholder representatives accounting for 189 451 802 shares or around 57.07 % of the share capital of Clariant.
