Belden Provides Hirschmann Brand Fast Ethernet Networks to Major European Train Manufacturer
Neckartenzlingen, Germany - November 13, 2012 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, is supplying a major train manufacturer in the EMEA region with Fast Ethernet networks to be used in its latest generation of rail vehicles. These networks, which will transmit both operating data and passenger information, are based on robust managed Ethernet switches and WLAN access points with routing functions from the Hirschmann OCTOPUS and BAT series. These conform to the EN 50155 standard covering electronic equipment used on rolling stock.

Songwon Industrial Group announces a solid financial performance in Q3 2012
Ulsan, Korea – November 12, 2012 – Songwon Industrial Group (www.songwon.com), the second largest manufacturer of polymer stabilizers in the world and a leading global producer and supplier of additives and other chemicals to the plastic industry, announces total sales revenues of 528’044 Mil. KRW for the first nine months of 2012 and a net profit after tax of 16’466 Mil. KRW (3.1% of sales), of which 5’697 Mil. KRW was contributed in Q3 2012. Compared to the same period in 2011 (annualized figures), in the first nine months of 2012 Songwon Group has achieved a sales growth rate of 11.9%, a gross profit growth rate of 46%, while the net profit jumped 118%.

SABIC becomes world's first chemical company to commission LNG-run gas carriers
SITTARD, The Netherlands, November 12, 2012 - Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has commissioned the construction of two sea going gas tankers powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) to transport its olefins products, in anticipation of a European Union directive to drastically reduce sulphur emissions from vessels operating in the North Sea by 2015. Switching to alternative fuels for ships, such as LNG, which is far more environment-friendly than traditional fuel oils is one of the solutions identified to meet the European Union directive.

Belden Supplies Hirschmann Brand Optical Communications Technology for Herrenknecht Tunnel Boring Machines
Neckartenzlingen - November 5, 2012 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, supplied optical communications technology from its Hirschmann brand for Herrenknecht tunnel boring machines used to construct the Katzenberg rail tunnel in southern Germany.
