BERGEN OP ZOOM, PAYS-BAS — 8 novembre 2005 — GE - Plastics et GE Advanced Materials, Silicones présenteront leurs récents investissements dans les technologies et les savoir-faire et exposeront leurs plus récentes innovations à l’intention des fabricants de dispositifs médicaux à l’occasion du salon Medica qui se tiendra à Düsseldorf du 16 au 19 novembre, hall 10, stand A56. NatureWorks LLC announces north american 'Buy Back' program for post-consumer bottles made from NatureWorks® PLA
NatureWorks LLC announced plans today at the National Recycling Convention in Minneapolis, Minn., to institute a large-volume "buy-back" program in North America for post-consumer PLA bottles in mixed plastic waste recycling streams. The program provides an additional landfill waste diversion option for corn-based NatureWorks® PLA, a material that already offers the most waste diversion choices of any other plastic.

GE’s ecomagination* Initiative and Lexan* ZigZag* Sheet Roofing Help the Dutch Greenhouse Industry Move Toward Energy Independence
BERGEN OP ZOOM, THE NETHERLANDS — November 15, 2005 — To support a strategic shift away from consuming large amounts of fossil fuel, the greenhouse industry in the Netherlands is turning to GE’s ecomagination* initiative for innovative environmental solutions. Using GE’s new Lexan* ZigZag* sheet polycarbonate (PC) roofing material, Hydro Huisman, a leading hydroculture company in Huissen, is constructing the first greenhouse that will produce more energy than it uses. Lexan ZigZag sheet double-wall roofing panels provide higher light transmission than single glass, and insulation similar to multiwall glass or PC sheet. These energy-efficient properties will enable approximately two-thirds of the heat generated in the greenhouse to be sold as surplus.
