Arla Plast’s new Griphen Frost™ uses Eastman 14471 copolyester resin to provide new image for Abbey
CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, THE NETHERLANDS - As part of an extensive re-branding exercise, UK high street bank Abbey is refitting its 714 branches in the United Kingdom over the next three years, using its new corporate identity. For the interior display panels, the material selected was Griphen Frost™ from Arla Plast of Sweden. These sheets, made from Eastman 14471 copolyester resin, were thermoformed to retain their matt surface finish, giving great visual impact. In addition, the material has Class 1Y fire certification in the UK – with low smoke density and emission of non-toxic gases in a fire.

CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON ATO FLAME RETARDANTS
MIDDLEBURY, CT – Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) today announced a worldwide pricing adjustment for its flame retardant grade of antimony oxide effective October 28, 2005 where contracts allow. The company has established a base price of $0.55/lb over the average published price for antimony metal, based on antimony content in finished products. This will result in a new base price of $2.00/lb at the current average antimony metal price of $3850/MT. Premiums for specialty grades and special services will continue at previous levels. The company is also eliminating all extended terms a well as all price protection beyond 30 days.

CHEMTURA TO RAISE BROMINATED CLEAR BRINE FLUID PRICING
Middlebury, CT – Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) today announced it will increase list and off-list pricing by 40% for calcium bromide 14.2 , zinc bromide/calcium bromide 19.2 solution and sodium bromide 12.5 in all regions. New pricing is effective October 14, 2005, where contracts allow. Concurrent with the increase, Chemtura will no longer offer price change notification terms longer than 30 days.
