NatureWorks LLC announced today that it will achieve a greenhouse-gas-neutral position for NatureWorks® PLA, making it the first, and only, commercially available greenhouse-gas-neutral polymer in the industry. The company made the announcement today at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2005, billed as the largest packaging show in the Western Hemisphere.
NatureWorks LLC announces north american 'Buy Back' program for post-consumer bottles made from NatureWorks® PLA
NatureWorks LLC announced plans today at the National Recycling Convention in Minneapolis, Minn., to institute a large-volume "buy-back" program in North America for post-consumer PLA bottles in mixed plastic waste recycling streams. The program provides an additional landfill waste diversion option for corn-based NatureWorks® PLA, a material that already offers the most waste diversion choices of any other plastic.
