INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced that effective for all shipments after April 1, 2004, where contracts allow, the company will increase the price for pentabromodiphenyl oxide based flame retardants and all grades of brominated carbonate oligomers by $0.10/lb or $220/MT globally.

Today Borealis announced its 2003 results, which were positively impacted by stronger demand, lower costs and higher margins in the fourth quarter, lifting full year net profit from EUR 6 million in 2002 to EUR 16 million in 2003.
