Distrupol appointed UK and Ireland distributor of DuPont’s melt-processable fluoropolymers for the injection moulding market
Chertsey, 14 May 2003. With effect from 2nd July 2003, Distrupol, the leading polymer distributor, technical service and solutions provider, will distribute DuPont's melt-processable fluoropolymer products, including all Teflon® fluoropolymer grades of PFA, FEP and Tefzel® ETFE, in the UK and Ireland. Both companies are committed to ensuring continuity of supply during the transition of business from the previous distributor.

Toledo, Ohio, May 7, 2003 – Owens Corning and Saint-Gobain today announced plans to form a joint venture to construct a state-of-the-art, innovative manufacturing facility to deliver high-quality glass fiber reinforcements to the growing composites marketplace. The 50/50 joint venture will produce reinforcements to be sold in equal shares through Saint-Gobain Vetrotex and Owens Corning international sales networks. Production and delivery of product is planned for late 2004.
Long glass fiber reinforced composites are renowned for their strength, stiffness and light weight — not their appearance. That perception is now changing. LNP Engineering Plastics, a GE Plastics Company (NYSE:GE), has introduced a new series of long glass fiber reinforced Verton® nylon 6 composites offering a unique combination of strength, stiffness, colorability and a high-quality surface finish.
