MHT will exhibit largest PET mould at K 2001
Ginsheim/Gustavsburg, August 2001. – What must currently be the largest injection mould for the manufacture of PET preforms – a 144-cavity mould from the HOLI Mould Series – will be exhibited at K 2001 in Düsseldorf (25th October to 1st November) by Mold & Hotrunner Technology AG (MHT), Ginsheim/Gustavsburg. 'High Output – Low Investment' was the motto behind the development of this new series of preform moulds – and the result is really surprising: where there used to be space for only 48 cavities, for example, there are now 72 cavities, and the largest mould of the series, with 144 cavities, can "make do" with a platen area which normally accommodates a 96-cavity mould. In other words, the HOLI-Mould Series can increase the productivity of a standard PET injection moulding machine by up to 50 % – thus avoiding the need to invest in a larger machine and without taking up any additional space. In economic terms, these moulds achieve an investment/output ratio which was hitherto unattainable. On its exhibition stand 2 D11 in Hall 2, MHT will be exhibiting, besides these newly developed PET moulds, the latest products from its Hotrunner Technology Division.
