Distrupol names management team to lead its pan-Nordic distribution growth
Distrupol has announced the senior management team that will lead the company’s Nordic operations through, and following, the consolidation of the Distrupol Nordic AB and MBS Plastics distribution businesses on 1 October this year.
Petri Karhu has been appointed managing director, Thomas Andersson becomes sales director and Mats Terborn, commercial director. Each brings significant experience to these key positions. Karhu, whose background is in finance, has been with Distrupol Nordic since its predecessor company was established in 1994 and had previously held the post of general manager.
Andersson has also been with the company from the outset and, prior to this appointment, had been sales manager for Distrupol Nordic. He will assume responsibility for the company’s engineering thermoplastics business, principally materials produced by DuPont, LNP, Solvay, Toray, Aquafil Technopolymers and INEOS Acrylics. He will also lead the eCommerce initiatives for Distrupol’s operations throughout Europe. Involved in polymer distribution since 1990, Thomas Andersson had until then been engaged in sales on the supplier side with DuPont in Sweden.
Mats Terborn brings some 30 years industry experience to the role of commercial director, a position he had held at MBS Plastics, since the early 90’s. Terborn will be responsible for commodity plastics business, which includes the products of Basell and LG Chemicals, ExxonMobil, BP Amoco and Nova Chemicals.
Says Petri Karhu: “We have a dedicated team that combines a wealth of product experience with strong regional market knowledge, and moreover, provides a high level of management continuity which is important for suppliers and customers alike.”
