Beaulieu International Group safety-awareness initiatives in full swing on International Safety Day
Wielsbeke, Belgium – April 28, 2017 – The business unit “Engineered Products” of Beaulieu International Group is pleased to announce excellent safety results for the production sites of its Beaulieu Fibres International division, on the occasion of International Safety Day 2017. The Fibres division has no recorded accidents at its Terni, Italy site in the last 2 years or during the last 20 months at its Belgian sites.

Omron ontwikkelt besturing voor machineautomatisering met kunstmatige intelligentie
Omron Corporation (hoofdkantoor: Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto. CEO: Yoshihito Yamada) maakte vandaag bekend een controller voor machineautomatisering te ontwikkelen, die met kunstmatige intelligentie (een AI-algoritme) voor zelflerende machines is uitgerust. Als eerste in zijn soort binnen de sector zorgt deze AI-controller voor real-time integratie van de AI-verwerkingsfunctie met de PLC-aansturing, die in microseconden de veranderingen in productielijnen en machines op de fabrieksvloer aanstuurt. De sensoren in het uitgebreide assortiment van Omron bewaken de status van installaties en processen en de controller stuurt ze veilig bij, voordat er onregelmatigheden kunnen optreden. De ingebouwde AI voorspelt afwijkende machinale bewegingen op basis van een aangeleerd causaal model.
