Guardian Glass keurt budget goed voor technische ontwerpen voor een bijkomende floatglasfaciliteit in Polen
Bertrange, Luxemburg, 14 maart, 2017 – Guardian Glass spendeert 1,5 miljoen dollar voor gedetailleerde technische ontwerpen en site-inspecties voor een mogelijke tweede floatglasfaciliteit in Polen. Guardian Glass baat momenteel een floatglasfabriek uit in Czestochowa, Polen en overweegt om de productiecapaciteit te verhogen met een tweede fabriek om te kunnen blijven beantwoorden aan de groeiende vraag naar gecoate en bewerkte glasproducten in zowel de bedrijfssector als de private sector. Deze eerste uitgave voor technische ontwerpen is bedoeld om de voltooiing te versnellen van een nieuwe fabriek die commercieel beschikbaar zou moeten zijn in het eerste kwartaal van 2019. Verder wordt nog beraadslaagd over de locatie.

Perstorp sells its Belgian site with its coating additives activities to Synthomer plc
Perstorp March 6, 2017 - The specialty chemicals innovator and supplier Perstorp (Perstorp Holding AB) today announces the sale of its additives activities primarily serving the paints and coatings industry produced at its facility at Gent Belgium, Perstorp Belgium (Perstorp Oxo Belgium AB) to Synthomer (Synthomer plc). The total consideration for the sale is €78 million (subject to certain adjustments). The divestment is in line with Perstorp’s strategy to focus on and expand its core chemicals activities.
