Belden Provides Hirschmann Brand Fast Ethernet Networks to Major European Train Manufacturer
Neckartenzlingen, Germany - November 13, 2012 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, is supplying a major train manufacturer in the EMEA region with Fast Ethernet networks to be used in its latest generation of rail vehicles. These networks, which will transmit both operating data and passenger information, are based on robust managed Ethernet switches and WLAN access points with routing functions from the Hirschmann OCTOPUS and BAT series. These conform to the EN 50155 standard covering electronic equipment used on rolling stock.

Songwon Industrial Group announces a solid financial performance in Q3 2012
Ulsan, Korea – November 12, 2012 – Songwon Industrial Group (www.songwon.com), the second largest manufacturer of polymer stabilizers in the world and a leading global producer and supplier of additives and other chemicals to the plastic industry, announces total sales revenues of 528’044 Mil. KRW for the first nine months of 2012 and a net profit after tax of 16’466 Mil. KRW (3.1% of sales), of which 5’697 Mil. KRW was contributed in Q3 2012. Compared to the same period in 2011 (annualized figures), in the first nine months of 2012 Songwon Group has achieved a sales growth rate of 11.9%, a gross profit growth rate of 46%, while the net profit jumped 118%.

SABIC is het eerste chemieconcern ter wereld dat opdracht heeft gegeven voor de bouw van gastankers die worden aangedreven door motoren op aardgas (LNG)
SITTARD, 12 november 2012 - Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) heeft opdracht gegeven voor de bouw van twee zeegaande gastankers, aangedreven door motoren op aardgas (LNG), voor het vervoer van SABIC’s olefine producten. De opdracht tot de bouw loopt vooruit op Europese wetgeving die als doel heeft om tegen 2015 de emissie van zwavel door schepen die varen op de Noordzee drastisch te verminderen. Het overstappen op andere brandstoffen, zoals LNG dat veel milieuvriendelijker is dan traditionele diesel, is één van de mogelijkheden om aan de toekomstige Europese wetgeving te voldoen.
