MUNICH, Germany — June 13, 2012 — Here at Intersolar Europe 2012 (booth A5.530), SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business is showcasing its extensive and growing portfolio of specialty thermoplastics designed to support major trends in solar applications. East Aurora, NY, USA, 11 giugno 2012 – Moog Industrial Group, una divisione di Moog Inc. e azienda leader nei sistemi di prova ad alte prestazioni per il settore automobilistico e aeronautico, è stata scelta dall’Istituto tedesco Fraunhofer LBF per la ricerca sulla stabilità strutturale e l’affidabilità dei sistemi, come fornitore di un sistema di prova completo, da integrare con una camera climatica e un sistema di sicurezza per i test sulle batterie. Il sistema di prova è composto da una tavola idraulica di simulazione Moog ad alta frequenza e da un controllore in tempo reale, con test per l’operatore e software applicativo Moog.

Novel injection moulding process from Mecaplast could cut car part weights in half
Izernore, France - Leading automotive plastics component supplier Mecaplast believes it can cut the weight of interior and exterior trim parts by between 30 and 50% by using a newly patented injection moulding processing technology in combination with novel polypropylene compounds.

Purac supports Biobased Kidshouse with PLA roof insulation

On 4 June 2012 a Biobased Kidshouse, sponsored by Purac, was opened by the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. The Biobased Kidshouse is an initiative of BE-Basic, an international public-private partnership, funded by the Dutch government in the field of sustainable chemistry and ecology. The Biobased Kidshouse intends to educate children with respect to biobased materials, in order to promote a biobased economy towards future generations.
