Due to escalating raw material costs, DSM Engineering Plastics - Americas, Inc. will increase the price of Akulon® polyamide polymer for use in fibers and extrusion effective for all orders shipped on or after February 1st 2012.

East Aurora, NY, USA, 31 gennaio 2012 – Moog, leader nei sistemi e prodotti ad alte prestazioni per i collaudi automobilistici ed aeronautici, ha progettato e realizzato una tavola di simulazione idraulica sfruttando la sua nuovissima linea di attuatori idraulici per prove. Si tratta di una tavola di simulazione che offre una maggiore capacità rispetto ai sistemi ortogonali tradizionali, che consistono in una tavola mossa da attuatori montati alla base e sui lati. La tavola di simulazione idraulica Moog è un esapode a sei gambe con due piattaforme a triangolo equilatero sovrapposte e disassate di 30 gradi. Ogni vertice del triangolo superiore è collegato ai due vertici sottostanti grazie agli attuatori idraulici per prove Moog con cuscinetti idrostatici.

DSM DYNEEMA SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVES PATENT INFRINGEMENT DISPUTE IN THE UK
The Netherlands, January 31, 2012 - DSM Dyneema has announced that it has successfully concluded its patent infringement dispute with Miclin Ltd. and J&D Wilkie Ltd. (Kirriemuir/UK), trading under the Jack Ellis brand. The case, which was brought before the Patents Court of the High Court in London, resulted in a settlement, details of which were not made public.

DSM to launch new line of bio-based materials via partnership with Empresa Brasileira de Biotechnologia (EBRABIOTECH)
Royal DSM, the global Life and Material Sciences company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding between its US-based Business Unit DSM Functional Materials and Empresa Brasileira de Biotechnologia (Ebrabiotech) of Brazil for the launch of a new line of DSM-branded bio-based materials targeting the concrete floor coatings market. The initiative focuses on the development of bio-based castor oil materials, which is non-edible and helps to lower the total carbon footprint.
