SABIC Innovative Plastics vince il premio nazionale ENERGY GLOBE Award 2007 per il progetto di Recupero del Sale presso lo stabilimento di Bergen Op Zoom
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Paesi Bassi, 27 maggio 2008. SABIC Innovative Plastics è stata nominata vincitrice nazionale del premio ENERGY GLOBE per i Paesi Bassi, per il suo progetto di Recupero del Sale presso Bergen op Zoom, Paesi Bassi. Ieri, presso il Parlamento Europeo di Bruxelles la società è stata insignita di questo prestigioso riconoscimento per l’impegno dedicato al conseguimento di importanti vantaggi ambientali grazie a un innovativo processo di recupero del sale, che purifica e riutilizza il sale nella produzione di policarbonato (PC). Questo processo sostenibile riduce l’impiego di cloruro di sodio, la produzione di acque reflue e le emissioni di anidride carbonica (CO2). Il progetto è stato finanziato dalla Commissione Europea nell’ambito del programma Life Ambiente con un contributo di 1,2 milioni di Euro. Gli investimenti in soluzioni ecoresponsabili consentono a SABIC Innovative Plastics di offrire ai suoi clienti prodotti all’avanguardia, minimizzando allo stesso tempo l’impatto sull’ambiente dei processi produttivi.

赛默飞世尔科技捐赠近80万元和多套检测仪器，全面支援中国四川地震灾区
（2008年5月22日，上海）—— 世界科学仪器的领导生产商赛默飞世尔科技公司前日派专人赴上海红十字会，为四川汶川大地震灾区送上了首批由公司和员工共同捐助的573,628元，用于受灾群众以及灾后重建工作，本周赛默飞世尔将捐赠第二批约20万元给红十字会，从而使公司的捐款总额超过78万元。同时，赛默飞世尔科技还动员全球3万名员工一起为四川地震灾区提供帮助，许多国外同事已经通过国际红十字会和其他境外机构捐款。此外，该公司利用其技术优势已经向四川疾控中心和四川省环境检测站无偿捐赠15台余氯总氯水质检测比色计和配套试剂，以帮助当地饮用水质的监测。

URMOND (NL), 22 maggio 2008 - La corte distrettuale degli Stati Uniti, del distretto del Nord Texas, ha emesso un giudizio sulla violazione di brevetti e marchi commerciali, con relative rivalse contro Armor USA, lo scorso 22 aprile 2008. La sentenza fa riferimento alla fibra polietilenica tenacissima Dyneema®. Con questo pronunciamento, la DSM ha potuto impedire alla Armor USA di vendere i prodotti incriminati, che utilizzano fibra polietilenica, nel mercato degli Stati Uniti.
