N-SPEC® 50, un disperdente/solvente sviluppato da Brenntag Oil & Gas, è stato recentemente testato in Scandinavia per verificarne la tossicità verso gli organismi acquatici, la biodegradabilità ed la bioaccumulabilità negli ambienti marini. Questi test sono universalmente accettati nei Paesi del Mare del Nord e sono raccomandati dalle linee guida “OSPAR”. Sulla base dei risultati di questi test, N-Spec®50 è classificato in Normandia come “yellow chemical”, il che significa che è un prodotto chimico accettabile per le applicazioni “off-shore” (classificazioni: “green” e “yellow” = accettati; “red” = da sostituire dopo un certo periodo di tempo; “black” = utilizzo non consentito). In confronto ad altri disperdenti/solventi quali xilene, gasolio, toluene, N-Spec®50 è un alternativa preferita grazie alle migliori proprietà ambientali.

Hyperform® hyper nucleating agent increases productivity during manufacture of garden furniture
Hartman Groep, a leading European manufacturer of garden furniture, increased its output of structural foam table tops with a substantial number over an eight-week period during the summer as a result of incorporating Milliken’s Hyperform® HPN-68L hyper nucleating agent into its polypropylene compound formulation. The capacity increase was a mayor rise in productivity.

GREAT LAKES INCREASES PRICE FOR KP-140 SPECIALTY ADDITIVE
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced a worldwide price increase of 18 percent where contracts allow of its KP-140® specialty additive.
