Sonoco enters into agreement with Italian-based Demolli
Hartsville, S.C.. March 4, 2004, -- Sonoco (NYSE: SON), the global packaging company, has entered into a put/call agreement with the majority shareholders of joint venture partner Demolli Industria Cartaria S.p.A., an Italian-based manufacturer of paperboard and engineered carriers, it was announced today by Harris E. DeLoach, Jr., president and chief executive officer.

Sonoco announces engineered carriers price increase

GREAT LAKES ANNOUNCES PRICE INCREASE FOR A RANGE OF BROMINATED FLAME RETARDANTS
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA—Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE:GLK) today announced that effective for all shipments after April 1, 2004, where contracts allow, the company will increase the price for pentabromodiphenyl oxide based flame retardants and all grades of brominated carbonate oligomers by $0.10/lb or $220/MT globally.
