Rhodia Polyamide South Korea Polymerization Unit Construction on Schedule
Lyon, France – September 3 , 2007 – Rhodia announced today that the construction of its new 48kt Polyamide 6.6 salt and polymerization plant in Onsan, South Korea is on schedule and that plant start-up is set for early December 2007.

August 31, 2007 – New York, NY – Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) kondigde vandaag de voltooiing aan van de acquisitie van GE Plastics van General Electric voor een bedrag van US$11.6 miljard. Deze aankondiging werd gedaan door de Voorzitter van de Raad van Bestuur van SABIC, H.H. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thenayan Al-Saud.
Stanyl®, a high-performance polyamide 46 (PA46) resin from DSM Engineering Plastics, was chosen for the production of tumble valve bearings for the latest generation of the V6 and V8 engines of a high value german car producer. Tumble valves are an integral part of the manifold, optimizing the air flow in the combustion chamber. It is the first time that such tumble valves have been produced by assembly molding and Stanyl® played an important role in making this possible.
