COPERATION BETWEEN BOZZIO, DSM, BERN UNIVERSITY AND DYNAMIC TEST CENTER BRINGS SAFER MOBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
The joysteer® X-by-wire system with precision gears made of Stanyl® PA 46 resin from DSM Engineering Plastics is now in commercial production for the handicapped market and available from car modification companies in Switzerland, Germany and the Benelux. This rapid development from prototype to successful commercialisation was achieved by the Swiss company Bozzio within record time of just three years. In this period, Bozzio obtained the strictest level of safety approvals for the European market (TÜV approval according to ECE-R 13H braking system and ECE-R 79 steering system), making joysteer®x-by-wire commercially available to provide people with a disability a user-friendly solution to drive a car with safety and confidence. This is the first system with such a high safety level.

DSM AND MCC SIGN CONTRACTS TO EXCHANGE POLYCARBONATE AND POLYAMIDE BUSINESSES
DSM Engineering Plastics, a business group of the Netherlands-based Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company Royal DSM N.V., today announces that it has signed the contracts with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) enabling DSM to acquire MCC’s Novamid® polyamide business in exchange for DSM’s Xantar® polycarbonate business.

Moog è leader nella fornitura di sistemi di prova ad alte prestazioni per il settore automobilistico, aerospaziale e dei trasporti.
AMSTERDAM, 26 gennaio 2010 – Moog e Thompson Friction Welding hanno sviluppato la macchina per saldatura ad attrito lineare più grande del mondo. Si tratta di una macchina che non solo è in grado di saldare una superficie di 10.000 mm2, circa il doppio di quanto era possibile fino ad oggi, ma che ha anche stabilito un nuovo record di 100 tonnellate di carico nella saldatura a fuoco. 
ODU Steckverbindungssysteme GmbH, a leading connector manufacturing company in Mühldorf, Germany, has selected high performance Stanyl® ForTii™ from DSM Engineering Plastics for its latest ODU MAC LC (Modular Attachable Connector rectangular – Low Cycle Version), which was developed specifically for PCB – termination without frame. The ODU MAC LC (Low Cycle) series is part of a highly economical modular system, capable of delivering up to 5,000 mating cycles. The application requires a high temperature plastic material suitable for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) soldering and with excellent electrical properties.
