EconCore présentera plusieurs innovations dans le domaine de la technologie de production continue de structures sandwich en nid d'abeilles lors du salon JEC World 2018
Le processus de production continue d'âmes en nid d'abeilles thermoplastique performantes et légères pour les composites devrait susciter un vif intérêt lors du salon JEC World 2018 qui se déroule à Paris du 6 au 8 mars. Le processus ThermHex répond aux besoins croissants de remplacement de pièces complexes, lourdes et onéreuses dans des applications exigeantes de nombreux secteurs de l'industrie. Sur son stand R73 dans le palais 6, EconCore présentera les résultats de nouveaux développements et tests réalisés sur des nids d'abeilles produits en polycarbonates modifiés, polyamide 66 et polysulfure de phénylène. Le travail est réalisé dans les nouvelles infrastructures R&D modernisées de Louvain (Belgique).

SABIC announces plans to expand capacity for ULTEM™ and NORYL™ resin production
In response to customer needs, SABIC has announced projects in Asia and the Netherlands designed to increase global capacity for two of its high-performance engineering thermoplastic materials, ULTEM™ and NORYL™ resins. To increase capacity for ULTEM™ resins, a polyetherimide material, SABIC plans to expand its existing footprint in Singapore where it currently has compounding operations, pending final government clearance. The planned new production facility in Singapore is expected to go online in the first half of 2021. The company also plans to recommission operations at its Bergen op Zoom PPE resin plant in the Netherlands by the end of 2019 to produce polyphenylene ether (PPE), the base resin for its line of NORYL™ resins and oligomers.
