DSM acquires innovative light trapping technology for solar modules

Based in Venray (Netherlands) SolarExcel has developed a proprietary light trapping technology that can significantly increase the efficiency of solar panels. With the acquisition DSM expands its growing portfolio of solar energy enabling technologies. Financial details of the acquisition are not disclosed.

The new, modern plant will commence production of color concentrates for producers of plastic materials one year from now. The investment, worth CHF 11.3 million, will allow Clariant to increase production capacity and strengthen its position on Polish and European markets.

The new building covers an area about 6'800 square meters and will include new production site, laboratory and warehouse as well as Clariant offices. The investment, worth CHF 11.3 million, will enable Clariant to double the production capacity of color concentrates for its Business Unit Masterbatches and also to create new job opportunities.

Le projet Lindoe Nacelle Testing (LNT) sera installé dans le parc industriel de Lindoeø situé sur l’île de Funen, la quatrième île danoise en termes de superficie. Les premiers essais sont prévus pour 2014.
