DSM Engineering Plastics invests for growth in Specialty Polyamides
DSM is to make further investments in its Kaohsiung polymerization facility in Taiwan to upgrade and develop the company’s Specialty Polyamide capabilities for its Novamid® and Akulon® Polyamide engineering plastic business. The Kaohsiung site has been a part of DSM since 2010 and already produces specialty Polyamide 6 and 6/66 materials for its Novamid product line.

Due to escalating raw material costs, DSM Engineering Plastics - Americas, Inc. will increase the price of Akulon® polyamide polymer for use in fibers and extrusion effective for all orders shipped on or after February 1st 2012.

LA TABLE VIBRANTE HYDRAULIQUE MOOG PERMET A EXOVA D’AUGMENTER LE REALISME DES ESSAIS AUTOMOBILES
East Aurora, NY, USA, 31 janvier 2012 – Moog, un des principaux constructeurs de produits et de systèmes à hautes performances pour les essais automobiles et aéronautiques, a conçu et fabriqué une table vibrante hydraulique (« Hydraulic Simulation Table » ou HST) à partir de sa toute dernière gamme de vérins hydrauliques dédiés aux bancs d’essais. Cette table offre davantage de possibilités qu’un système orthogonal classique, à savoir une table mue par des vérins montés sur sa base et sur ses côtés. La table vibrante de Moog se présente sous la forme d’un hexapode composé de deux châssis superposés en forme de triangle équilatéral et décalés de 30 degrés. Chaque sommet du triangle supérieur est relié aux deux sommets de l’autre triangle situés immédiatement sous lui, par l’intermédiaire de vérins Moog à paliers hydrostatiques.

DSM DYNEEMA SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVES PATENT INFRINGEMENT DISPUTE IN THE UK
The Netherlands, January 31, 2012 - DSM Dyneema has announced that it has successfully concluded its patent infringement dispute with Miclin Ltd. and J&D Wilkie Ltd. (Kirriemuir/UK), trading under the Jack Ellis brand. The case, which was brought before the Patents Court of the High Court in London, resulted in a settlement, details of which were not made public.
