Lyon, France – 21 décembre 2010 ---- Rhodia annonce la signature d’un accord pour l’acquisition de PI Polymer, l’activité plastiques techniques de la société indienne PI Industries Ltd. Cette opération permettra au Groupe d’accroître ses parts de marché sur les plastiques polyamides en Inde pour atteindre plus de 15% à l’horizon 2015.

Clariant predicts a brighter fashion outlook for Spring/Summer 2012
Muttenz, December 20, 2010 - The mood of fashion is changing: there is a feeling of greater optimism and the color forecasters are seeing the seasonal warmth, enthusiasm and clarity of spring and summer as major influences on the new color palette and fashion trends for 2012. Songwon Group announces a positive performance for Q3 2010

• Songwon’s Q3 2010 results continued on a positive trend. Songwon Group achieved a net profit of 7.23 Billion KRW for Q3 2010 and a net profit of 20.54 Billion KRW for the first nine months of 2010.
• Songwon signed the definitive agreement to acquire a share in one of the major Chinese Thioesters manufacturers - Tangshan Baifu Chemical Co. Ltd.
• Songwon announced the signature of a MoU to acquire a major share of the Polymer Stabilizers business of HPL Additives Ltd. (India).
• Songwon announced the expansion of its antioxidants capacity at its Maeam facility with an additional 15.000 tons by August 2011, bringing the total to 70.000 tons.

AKULON FUEL LOCK FROM DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS PROMOTES CLEANER AIR BY MINIMIZING EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS FROM FUEL TANKS
DSM Engineering Plastics has launched a unique new material that can make a significant contribution to air quality. Akulon® Fuel Lock, a mono-polyamide 6 technology, dramatically reduces evaporative emissions from the fuel tanks of non-road outdoor equipment and vehicles with small, spark-ignition engines. In fact, tests of a tank with a nominal 2 mm wall thickness molded from Akulon Fuel Lock showed an exceptionally low evaporative emission rate less than 20 percent of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation limit.
