Muttenz, December 15, 2010 - Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd will showcase a full range of products at IILF, including its new revolutionary EasyWhite Tan process based on Granofin® Easy F-90. A sustainable tanning process, the organic compound used is metal-, aldehyde- and formaldehyde-free and the system radically simplifies the production of leather by removing three process stages and eliminating the need for added salt.

Clariant’s EasyWhite Tan to set new industry standard
Muttenz, December 15, 2010 - For those in the leather industry, certain words are instantly associated with tanning — just think of mimosa, quebracho or chrome — and now the industry will have another: Granofin®, specifically Granofin Easy F-90. It is the key to the chemistry behind the launch of Clariant’s new EasyWhite Tan, which will itself justify its place alongside Wet Blue and Wet White among tanners.

Dans le cadre des célébrations de son 50ème anniversaire, Trespa International B.V., premier producteur de solutions de façade innovantes et inspirantes, a organisé un concours international à l’intention des distributeurs partenaires de son réseau mondial. Ces derniers étaient invités à compléter le slogan « Quand je pense Trespa, je pense ….. ». Il leur été demandé, dans un deuxième temps, de prendre des photos de collaborateurs arborant des T-shirts « Pensez Trespa » devant leur(s) réalisation(s) Trespa Meteon préférée(s) pour souligner les possibilités de design quasi illimitées du matériau.

RHODIA ANNONCE DE NOUVELLES POUDRES POUR REPOUSSER LES LIMITES DE LA FABRICATION DES PIÈCES PLASTIQUES
Lyon, France – 13 decembre 2010 ---- Rhodia annonce le lancement prochain de poudres de polyamide (PA) pour le prototypage rapide et la fabrication en petites séries par la technique du frittage laser sélectif (Selective Laser Sintering ou SLS). Fabriquer des pièces directement par SLS à partir de poudres PA 6 est une première mondiale. La gamme sera étendue aux poudres de PA 66 dans les prochains mois.

Flexible network connection for intelligent automation devices
Belden has added a new embedded Ethernet module (EEM) to its Hirschmann™ product range. The new module – which is available as a Profinet I/O device, EtherNet/IP adapter device or EtherCAT slave controller – grants Ethernet access to intelligent automation devices, or enables them to be integrated in network management systems. All models of the EEM are equipped with a switch for two external Fast Ethernet ports, and one internal port to the host CPU. The latter, which has a 50-pole plug connector, can be used to connect the host CPU of the automation device to the CPU of the EEM. Since data communication is via a field-programmable gate array (FPGA), the functionality of the EEM can be adapted to meet customer requirements or technological change without the need to alter the hardware. This makes the new module a practical and versatile option for connecting intelligent automation devices such as motor starters, frequency converters, or sensors to Ethernet networks.
