BERGEN OP ZOOM, Pays-Bas – 9 novembre 2010 – Pendant l’exposition K 2010, SABIC Innovative Plastics a annoncé aujourd’hui que sa nouvelle plaque en polycarbonate (PC) Lexan* F6000 ultra-solide et ignifuge a été choisie par Plexx AS, transformateur de plastique norvégien de premier plan, pour thermoformer les premiers châssis de fenêtre de trains de voyageurs européens. Les châssis seront utilisés dans les cabines des trains nationaux norvégiens. Ce matériau PC haute performance remplace la plaque composite moulée (SMC: sheet molded composite) pour une meilleure performance et des cycles de fabrication plus rapides, tout en évitant les opérations secondaires multiples requises pour le SMC.
