DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS RECOGNIZED FOR LEADING THE INDUSTRY IN GREENING CONSUMER ELECTRONICS
DSM Engineering Plastics has been recognized as a leading solutions provider that supports and enables the electronics industry to move away from chemicals that can lead to health and environmental problems. In a new precedent setting research report “Greening Consumer Electronics: Moving Away from Bromine and Chlorine”, the International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) and US based environmental organization Clean Production Action (CPA) identified seven companies who have engineered environmental solutions that negate the need for most - or in some cases all - uses of brominated and chlorinated chemicals. The seven companies include, amongst others, Apple, Sony Ericsson and DSM Engineering Plastics.

URMOND (NL), 6 octobre 2009 – A l’issue de deux années d’essais en vol concluants, la société DoKaSch GmbH, fabricant de premier plan dans le domaine des équipements pour le fret aérien, a présenté aujourd’hui ses nouveaux containers AKE lw-65, les premiers fabriqués à partir de panneaux RP10 en matériau composite de haute technicité qui repose sur une technologie de DSM. Conçus pour apporter une résistance maximale pour un poids minimal, ces panneaux sont à la fois plus solides et plus légers que ceux en aluminium des containers classiques. Ce progrès majeur a été possible grâce à l’utilisation de la fibre Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™ (« la fibre la plus solide du monde ») et de la résine Aeronite®, deux matériaux de DSM.

SABIC Innovative Plastics réalise une belle performance en remportant le prix Responsible Care® 2009 pour sa résine iQ* éco-optimisée
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Pays-Bas – 5 octobre 2009 – La gamme des résines iQ* écologiquement avancées de SABIC Innovative Plastics a été reconnue le 2 octobre par le prix Responsible Care® 2009 qui lui a été décerné lors de la cérémonie de l’assemblée générale annuelle du Conseil Européen des Fédérations de l'Industrie Chimique1 (Cefic) à Lisbonne, au Portugal. La société a reçu ce prix tant convoité dans la catégorie générale pour sa résine iQ éco-responsable, qui utilise un procédé exclusif de transformation des bouteilles en polyéthylène téréphthalate (PET) usagées en résines hautes performances destinées à un large éventail d’applications de pointe.
