Rhodia Polyamide Announces Introduction of New TECHNYL® XCell 6.6 and 6 Polyamide Grades Optimized for Use with Trexel’s MuCell® Process
Chicago, Illinois, June 19, 2006 – Officials from Rhodia Polyamide’s Engineering Plastics Business Unit present at NPE 2006 today announced the introduction of new TECHNYL® XCell 6.6 and 6 polyamide grades optimized for use with Trexel’s MuCell® process. These new grades are the first technology deliverables from Rhodia as part of their newly signed global co-marketing and development agreement, where Rhodia will actively develop and commercialize new material technology optimized for the MuCell® process, and where Trexel will work exclusively with Rhodia for polyamide applications. These new resins will be available in industrial quantities during the third quarter of 2006. However, they are available immediately in trial quantities.

Imaginée par Ted Brewer, un concepteur de violons britannique connu pour ses instruments transparents, la gamme futuriste Vivo2 utilise la résine à effets spéciaux Lexan* Visualfx* de GE Plastics, qui contribue à son design étonnant et à ses remarquables performances. Ted Brewer, qui sculptait ses instruments à la main dans des blocs d'acrylique, s'est tourné vers GE Plastics le jour où il a décidé d'adopter le moulage par injection pour répondre à la demande croissante du marché. Les coloristes de GE Plastics l'ont aidé à matérialiser sa vision du Vivo2 et à réaliser un instrument hors du commun.

CHEMTURA INTRODUCES MORE EFFICIENT FIREMASTER® FLAME RETARDANT PRODUCTS
MIDDLEBURY, CT – Chemtura Corporation (Crompton/Great Lakes) has introduced Firemaster® 600 and Firemaster® 602, two new flame retardants for flexible polyurethane foam that are approximately 10% more efficient than Firemaster® 550 and Firemaster® 552. Each of these new products exhibits outstanding scorch resistance, minimal effect upon foam processing, physical properties and cigarette smolder as well as a favorable environmental profile. FiremasterR 602 is specifically recommended for mechanically cooled foams. CHEMTURA ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN PRICE INCREASE ON TIN STABILIZERS
MIDDLEBURY, CT, June 23, 2006-- --Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) announces a 5% increase of European selling prices on all tin stabilizers for all package sizes, effective July 1st, 2006, or as contract terms permit.
