Un choix "cool" pour les bouteilles soufflées "hot-fill"

Sa rigidité qui autorise la créativité dans les formes et son excellente transparence en font aussi un choix tout indiqué pour l'industrie des cosmétiques où les propriétés d'aspect sont extrêmement importantes. Le RB206MO est un nouveau grade de polypropylène (PP) statistique qui vient renforcer la position de Borealis dans le peloton de tête des fournisseurs du secteur des applications hautes performances des bouteilles. Les bouteilles fabriquées dans ce matériau sont capables de supporter jusqu'à 100°C en remplissage à chaud ("hot fill") sans déformation rémanente. Même à température élevée, le RB206MO conserve son excellente rigidité qui permet aux lignes de remplissage à chaud d'atteindre une productivité élevée. Un autre avantage lié à la grande rigidité du RB206MO est de pouvoir réduire le poids de la bouteille et de dégager ainsi des gains de coût sur la consommation de matière et sur le transport. Grâce à un kit d'additifs original, le RB206MO présente une résistance à chaud améliorée qui permet de réduire le nettoyage des évents de dégazage, de la surface des empreintes, des filières et des pipes de soufflage. De par sa très grande facilité d'extrusion, sa grande résistance à l'écrasement et son excellente nucléation, le RB206MO convient tout à fait aux lignes de production à grande cadence, sur lesquelles il permet également d'importantes économies de matière dans le cas des bouteilles multi couches.

Le module de régulation de température (aussi appelé BSE) est un dispositif complexe chargé de distribuer et de surveiller le liquide de refroidissement dans les moteurs DW du Groupe PSA. Intégrant un thermostat, une sonde de température et un circuit de réchauffage de carburant diesel, il est monté notamment dans le nouveau moteur HDI de la Peugeot 607. Pour réaliser ce boîtier de régulation de température, Mark IV Systèmes Moteur S.A. (France) a choisi le Vyncolit X7010 car l'utilisation de ce matériau phénolique technique permet de mouler par injection cette pièce qui pèse plus d'un kg. Le groupe Perstorp a annoncé son achat de la division Moldable Composites de Rogers Corporation, fabricant américain de mélanges thermodurcissables à hautes performances, fournis principalement aux industries de l'automobile et de l'électricité. La division Moldable Composites, qui emploie environ 150 personnes, réalise un chiffre d'affaires annuel de l'ordre de 35 millions USD.

 Anstead International has moved from its long-established centre at Billericay to new, purpose-built 25,000 ft2 (2,325 m2) state-of-the-art headquarters and temperature-controlled warehousing with computerised product location handling at Basildon, Essex, UK. The new facilities operate to the latest ISO 2000/ PS 9100 standards and include new laboratories where product testing is conducted according to industry and customer specifications and following strict procedures, to meet the highest standards for raw materials.

SONOCO PURCHASES WOOD REEL OPERATIONS

Sonoco Hartsville, SC -- Sonoco (NYSE:SON) today announced the purchase of Texas Reel Company’s plywood reel operations, Sherman, Texas, and Coonrod Reel Company’s nailed wood reel operation in Bohman, Texas, it was announced today by Charles W. Reid, division vice president and general manager, Sonoco Baker® Reels. Annual sales from these acquisitions in 2002 are expected to be approximately $10 million. The purchase price was not revealed.
