SABIC launches new LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ compounds for automotive GNSS antennas, offering improved signal gain vs. ceramics
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, today introduced two new LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ compounds that offer the potential to improve signal gain performance vs. ceramics in second-generation automotive global navigation satellite system (GNSS) antennas. The new products, LNP THERMOCOMP ZKC0CXXD compound and LNP THERMOCOMP ZKC0DXXD compound, help enable the design and molding of antenna substrates with more-complex pattern markings that add effective surface area, a critical factor in enhancing signal capture. For customers that currently use ceramics, switching to the LNP THERMOCOMP compounds can help lower system costs by avoiding secondary operations, as well as improving antenna performance. Designers and engineers who find incumbent materials inadequate for developing novel, high-resolution GNSS antennas can help address new requirements with the SABIC products.

SABIC lanza nuevos compuestos de PP reforzados con fibra de vidrio corta con prestaciones mejoradas para aplicaciones estructurales de automoción
SABIC, líder mundial del sector químico, ha lanzado hoy los grados PP compound SABIC® G3430X y PP compound SABIC G3440X, dos nuevos compuestos de polipropileno (PP) reforzados con fibra de vidrio corta que ofrecen prestaciones mejoradas y optimizan la transformación de aplicaciones de automoción exigentes (interiores, exteriores y bajo capó). Los dos grados avanzados superan con creces a los demás materiales de fibra de vidrio corta de alto rendimiento en términos de índice de fluidez, resistencia a la tracción y a la flexión y módulo de flexión. Los grados PP compound SABIC G3430X y G3440X, ofrecen a los clientes nuevas oportunidades de elevar el listón de rendimiento de componentes estructurales de automoción como abrazaderas, estructuras de asiento y consolas centrales. Global Amines signs a definitive agreement to acquire the Global Quats and Esterquats business of Clariant
Global Amines Company Pte. Ltd., a 50-50 joint venture of Clariant and Wilmar, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Global Quats and Esterquats Business from Clariant. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first half of 2023. The purchase price, subject to standard closing conditions, is set at USD 113 million.
