MUNICH, Germany — June 13, 2012 — Here at Intersolar Europe 2012 (booth A5.530), SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business is showcasing its extensive and growing portfolio of specialty thermoplastics designed to support major trends in solar applications. East Aurora, NY, USA, 11 de junio de 2012 – Moog Industrial Group, una división de Moog Inc. y proveedor líder de sistemas de ensayos de altas prestaciones para los mercados automovilístico y aeroespacial, ha sido seleccionado por Fraunhofer LBF, instituto alemán para la investigación de la durabilidad estructural y la fiabilidad de sistemas, para que le suministre un sistema de ensayos completo que se integrará con una cámara climática y un sistema de seguridad de ensayos de baterías. Este sistema de ensayos está constituido por una Plataforma Hidráulica de Simulación de Alta Frecuencia de Moog y un controlador en tiempo real, que incluye software de ensayos para el operario y aplicación de Moog.

Novel injection moulding process from Mecaplast could cut car part weights in half
Izernore, France - Leading automotive plastics component supplier Mecaplast believes it can cut the weight of interior and exterior trim parts by between 30 and 50% by using a newly patented injection moulding processing technology in combination with novel polypropylene compounds.

Purac supports Biobased Kidshouse with PLA roof insulation

On 4 June 2012 a Biobased Kidshouse, sponsored by Purac, was opened by the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. The Biobased Kidshouse is an initiative of BE-Basic, an international public-private partnership, funded by the Dutch government in the field of sustainable chemistry and ecology. The Biobased Kidshouse intends to educate children with respect to biobased materials, in order to promote a biobased economy towards future generations.
