（2008年5月28日，上海）—— 5月20日下午，复旦大学生命科学学院－Thermo Fisher奖学金颁奖典礼，暨赛默飞世尔科技2008年暑期实习项目校园宣讲会在复旦大学光华楼隆重举行。经过院系推荐，学校严格评审，共计有6名本科生和7名研究生喜获该项奖学金。复旦大学副校长，兼生命科学学院院长金力博士、赛默飞世尔科技中国区总裁Syed Jafry（蒋文康先生）、赛默飞世尔科技中国区人力资源总监计凌云女士、赛默飞世尔科技全球企业营销高级经理Chris Woodward先生及Mary Meegan女士等共同出席了此次活动。

Moog Donates to the Victims of May 12th Sichuan Earthquake
(Shanghai, China, May 15, 2008) –Moog China will donate to the Red Cross Society of China to help provide the immediate disaster relief for victims of the May 12th earthquake in Sichuan Province, China. In addition, Moog China employees are personally making contributions as well in order to help more victims in the disaster area.

SABIC Innovative Plastics gana el premio ENERGY GLOBE 2007 para los Países Bajos por el proyecto «Recuperación de salmueras» de la planta de Bergen op Zoom
BERGEN OP ZOOM (Países Bajos). 27 de mayo de 2008. SABIC Innovative Plastics ha sido designada ganadora absoluta del premio ENERGY GLOBE en la categoría nacional de los Países Bajos por el proyecto de recuperación de salmueras llevado a cabo en Bergen op Zoom. La empresa recibió el premio en el Parlamento Europeo de Bruselas el día 26 de mayo, en reconocimiento a las importantes ventajas medioambientales que supone la utilización de su innovador proceso de recuperación de salmueras, que purifica y reutiliza la sal para la producción de policarbonato (PC). Este proceso sostenible reduce el uso de cloruro sódico, la generación de aguas residuales y las emisiones de dióxido de carbono (CO2). El proyecto ha sido subvencionado por el programa medioambiental Life de la Comisión Europea con un total de 1,2 millones de euros. La inversión en soluciones ecológicas permite que SABIC Innovative Plastics ofrezca a sus clientes productos de vanguardia, además de reducir al mínimo el impacto medioambiental de los procesos de fabricación.
